The objective of the Choose to Be GREAT  (CTBG) Award is to encourage public high school students to conduct themselves in a mature manner worthy of acknowledgement, regardless of previous exposure to the G.R.E.A.T Program.  High school students may be selected for the award by G.R.E.A.T. instructors, school staff, or directly from community members.

The goal of the CTBG Award is to present public high school students with an acknowledgment when they have been nominated and selected for the award.

1.    Student must be enrolled in the Miami-Dade County Public School System.

2.    Student must have shown significant academic improvement, behavior improvement, outstanding community service, or  an act that distinguishes a character that sets the student apart from others.

3.    Student must be nominated in writing by an adult for the award.

4.    Student can only receive the award once in a calendar year.

•To give students positive recognition when an act, behavior or improvement has been demonstrated.
